"Clinical Psychology & People with Learning Disabilities"
What is the Newsletter?
The newsletter is a quarterly publication that aims to keep clinical psychologists working in the field of learning disability informed about:
- Faculty and other relevant British Psychological Society activities
- Innovative practice
- Changes in statutory provision and legislation related to people with learning disabilities
- Latest Research
- Training courses, events and conferences
The newsletter also provides a means for clinical psychologists, trainees and assistants to make contact with colleagues working with similar issues and projects.
Who are the contributors?
Clinical psychologists, researchers and academics working with people with learning disabilities who are able to write articles, papers and reports that are clearly relevant to clinical psychology. The Newsletter has a wide readership, and as such is an ideal vehicle for promoting discussion and reporting research. Trainees and assistants as well as qualified clinicians new to publishing their work are likely to find the Newsletter a useful medium for raising their profile and bringing their work to the attention of others.
What are the criteria for publication?
Contributions are always very welcome on any topic relating to clinical psychology and the lives of people with learning disabilities. The editor may also commission papers. The length of papers can be anything from a short report of 500 words, through to a substantial research feature of 2500 to 3000 words. Please submit your copy electronically to the editor, Steve Carnaby: scarnaby@westminster.gov.uk.
If you are only able to submit a paper copy of your article, please ensure the pages are numbered, it is double-spaced and single-sided. The address for submitting paper versions of your article is:
